Course Aim

This course will provide delegates with the knowledge required to ensure employees within an organisation understand their health and safety responsibilities in the workplace.

Course Content

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of: 

  • Introduction to working safely 
  • Defining hazard and risk 
  • Identifying common hazards 
  • Improving safety performance 
  • Protecting our environment  

Training is delivered in a classroom environment, with group interaction throughout. 

Candidate Numbers 
Minimum of 4 delegates, maximum of 12 delegates 

Who should attend

Delegates within an organisation looking to enhance their awareness of working safely responsibilities. 

Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a knowledge of the essentials of health and safety. 

This course also goes toward candidates looking to obtain the Green CSCS Labourer Card. 

How to prepare

There are no candidate pre-requisites for this course. 

Duration

1 day

Assessment

Candidates will be required to contribute and engage throughout the course, with the instructor continually observing each candidate to monitor their learning and understanding.

There is a 10 question multiple-choice assessment and 3 hazard spotting exercises at the end of the course.

Validity

The IOSH Managing Safely certificate does not have an expiry date, however IOSH do recommend that you take a refresher course every five years to keep your knowledge up to date. 

Open Course

Open/public courses are delivered based on demand throughout the year, delivered at our training centre.   

Closed Course

Courses can be delivered as a group booking at the customers premises or at our training centre.
