Course Aim

This course is designed to provide you with greater awareness in the use of ladders, step ladders, harnesses and a variety of other equipment that is used when working at height. It also focuses on the safety considerations, legal obligations, and reporting procedures for defective equipment and helps you to comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Course Content

By the end of the course, you will have an understanding of: 

  • Legislation, regulation, roles and responsibilities when working at height
  • Safe working practices when working at height.
  • Reducing risk associated with weather conditions, working environment, falling objects and fragile surfaces.
  • The types of equipment and testing requirements associated with working at height.

 

Who should attend

This course would be relevant those who work, or are aspiring to work, in any type of environment that may require them to work at height, such as: building and construction, agriculture, forestry, factories, warehouses and more.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old on the first day of the training.

Courses are held at our training centre in Kirkcaldy, delivered by our team of trusted instructors.

This course can also be delivered to groups at your location.

Duration

½ day classroom.

1 x theory assessment (multiple choice)

Price

£75 per person +VAT | Group bookings from £70 +VAT per person. 

Validity

This certificate does not expire, however it is recommended that candidates renew their certificate every 3 years.
