Course Aim

The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate powered access equipment, covering two powered access products – Mobile Vertical (3a) + Mobile Boom (3b). 

Course Content

The course covers: 

    • Health & Safety regulations and legislation 
    • Accident control and prevention 
    • Personal protective equipment (PPE) 
    • Working at Height regulations 
    • Operation and safe manoeuvre of machines 
    • Pre-use inspection 
    • Auxiliary and manual descent procedure 

Candidate Numbers
Individuals and groups of up to 4 learners can attend.

Who should attend

This course is designed for anyone who operates Scissor Lifts, Mobile Vertical lifts, Self-Propelled Telescopic booms, Articulating booms or Mobile booms. 

How to prepare

Candidates for IPAF courses must be at least 16 years of age. They must be medically fit to operate machinery. 

Candidates must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment with them i.e. Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Visibility Vest, Harness & Adjustable Restraint Lanyard.

Assessment

Candidates will undergo practical training and assessment as well as a written theory test.

From £240 +VAT per person

Validity

Certification is valid for 5 years.

Open/public courses are available through our network of training partners, either on clients premises or at a training centre.

Closed Course

Courses can be delivered as a group booking at the customers premises or at a training centre.
