Raeburn Training was formed after the Director was involved in a family business for many years and found it challenging finding local training provision.  She had been responsible for booking in training courses for the employees and understanding the tasks involved in identifying and defining training needs, sourcing training courses, juggling the logistics involved and was therefore spurred to establish Raeburn Training as a provider committed to maintaining quality of delivery and a positive customer experience throughout. 

Raeburn Training offer a suite of training courses that meets training needs across a range of industries, offering business to business solutions, as well as courses for individuals, either directly or through third party organisations and charities.   Clients are based in a wide range of industries including construction, manufacturing, marine, utilities, oil and gas, warehousing, hospitality and sports and leisure.  A range of accredited courses are offered including CITB, SQS, REHIS and Qualsafe in house and through instructors and third party training companies IOSH, NPORS, CPCS, AITT, IPAF, City and Guilds and PASMA.  These accreditations provide reassurance that the course contents meet the required quality standards, these accredited courses span a range of practical health and safety, first aid, plant and access equipment courses.   

In addition to the course offering, the team works collaboratively with our clients to provide key services, including training plan management, assisting construction companies gain CITB financial support and general H&S advice 

The company has a growing pool of instructors who can deliver quality training, many on short notice and with capacity to meet growing demand.  Our strong network ensures that where we do not currently offer a course, we can find a solution for our clients. 

We deliver our training across Scotland and the UK and are flexible on our delivery, offering courses from our offices in Kirkcaldy and on clients premises.

Accreditations

CITB

SSP

The Site Safety Plus (SSP) suite of courses provides the building, civil engineering and allied industries with a range of courses for people seeking to develop skills in this area.

Site Safety Plus (SSP) courses are designed to give everyone, from operative to senior manager, the skills they need to progress through the industry.

Courses range from the one-day Health and Safety Awareness course to the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme. There are also refresher courses to make sure that workers are keeping up with the latest practices and techniques to be safe on the job.

ITC

An Internet Test Centre (ITC) is a centre approved by CITB to provide testing facilities for tests such as the Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test.

Dedicated Internet Test Centres (ITC) facilitate candidates at allocated time slots, ITC’s follow stringent guidelines that ensures candidates sit their exams under the required conditions.

NPORS

Established in 1992, NPORS is one of the UK’s leading accreditation and registration bodies, NPORS is one of the UK’s leading accreditation and registration bodies, working across numerous sectors.

NPORS firmly believes that all Instructors play an integral role in training and the testing process to ensure trainees safely operate plant machinery or equipment. Instructors registered with NPORS will have completed an instructional techniques course, to ensure they are both technically competent and understand a range of teaching methods.

Qualsafe

​Qualsafe Awards is one of the largest Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisations in the UK.

Working closely with training providers and key stakeholders, a team of industry specialists have created a range of ground-breaking qualifications that are included on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

REHIS

The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland, often referred to as REHIS, was established in 1983 following the merger of the Royal Sanitary Association of Scotland (founded 1875) and the Scottish Institute of Environmental Health (founded 1973).  The Institute was incorporated by Royal Charter in 2001.

REHIS aims to promote the advancement of Environmental Health for the benefit of all sectors of the community, providing effective education and training and implement improvements which can have a positive impact on public health or safety.
